Sip n’ sew tote bag workshop, Friday, 10/13 or Thursday 10/26

Grown ups who want to learn how to sew will enjoy this evening of making their own lined tote bag.  Please bring 1 yard of fabric (or 2 half yards of fabric). 

Tea & Stitches: Parent & child beginner embroidery class Sunday, 11/19, 1-3pm

Parents (& caregivers) & kids are invited to come together to create fun & simple embroidery patterns.  Enjoy tea, cookies & finger sandwiches while you learn a few basic embroidery stitches.

Handmade Holiday Ornaments, Saturday, 12/2, 3-5pm

Learn to make gnomes, stars, trees & more!  No previous experience required.  This is for all ages!  We’ll combine hand sewing and machine sewing to make sweet, one of a kind ornaments.  Perfect for gifts or for your own tree.

Financial aid is available!

Classes are limited to a small group and we’ll be working at Liz’s sewing studio & attached outdoor patio in the warmer months! Winter classes are held indoors & you are welcome to wear a mask.

Minimum class/camp size is 3 students.  If fewer than 3 students register, class/camp will be cancelled with a full refund.

About Liz

Liz McDade started No Trace in 2017, a Santa Cruz-based brand that makes bags and wraps for zero waste living.  In addition to running the business, Liz teaches workshops with kids and adults on sewing, how to make beeswax wraps, and tips for zero waste living.  She’s taught at local schools, community events, and online.

Before starting No Trace, Liz received a PhD in clinical psychology.  She’s conducted research on the links between mental and physical health and the impact of media on children. Liz lives in Capitola with her husband, two daughters and two dogs (1 crazy, 1 sweet).  Learn more here.
